The Tournaround continued its route across the area this evening with The Michela Lombardi and Marco Bartalini Quintet. Michela Lombardi – voce, Marco Bartalini – tromba/flicorno. Piero Frassi – pianoforte, Filippo Pedol – contabbasso, Piero Borri – batteria . Marco Bartalini has been a regular performer in Barga for many years – at both at the Barga Jazz Club 2004 and 2006 and as a member of the Barga Jazz Orchestra. What can we say about Michela Lombardi ? How about – Elegant, delicate, intense. Michela Lombardi’s approach to jazz vocals refers deeply to a clean, refined, slightly vintage sound (think of Irene Kral, Carol Sloane, Anita O’Day, Gelen Merrill) which draws close a legacy of contemporary young artists with a similar poetic attitude like Karrin Allyson, Tierney Sutton, Stacey Kent, Jackie Allen, Sara Lazarus, Roberta Gambarini.
